Heavy Industry Arc Welding Cell

The latest Easom Automation Systems project completed was for a major supplier of heavy equipment components. This arc welding cell is comprised of a 60 foot long overhead gantry beam, which supports a Nachi MV6L arc welding robot. The cell also contains two 15,000 pound capacity weld positioning trunnions for fixturing the more than 100 parts. The complete welded assembly is 19 feet by 12 feet. This cell demonstrates the ability of utilizing your robot controls to manipulate the 7th axis on the overhead gantry and the two weld positioners, thereby reducing your controls investment.
